Today is Wednesday which meant I had another Chinese Lesson. This week we covered more complex sentences like:

  • Please give me a call today/Xianzai qing gei wo da dian hua/现在请给我打电话
  • He likes fried chicken the most/Ta zui xihuan zha ji hen hao chi/他最喜欢炸鸡很好吃
  • My car and your car are the same/Wo de che he ni de che yi yang/我的车和你的车一样
  • University is much busier than primary school/da xue bi xiao xue mang duo le/大学比小雪忙多了
We also covered this song which have been stuck in my head all day. The lyric is “qing gei wo yi bei <drink>” where the drink could be:
  • water/shui/水
  • coke/kele/可乐
  • coffee/kafei/咖啡
  • milk/niunai/牛奶
  • beer/pijiu/啤酒
  • spirit/baijiu/白酒
  • red wine/hongjiu/红酒

Which translates to “please give me a cup of <drink>”.

Besides my lesson, work today was pretty average. Despite my run this evening being more tiring than usual, this song by General Levy was a great motivator! The lyrics make me laugh and the tempo is great which is why today’s blog title is dedicated to him, what a g.
