Wag1, haven’t posted for a while.
It’s very cold at the moment, so I haven’t been running much. My Chinese lessons have also been cancelled for a while. The conjunction of these two things means that I have very little to talk about!
Work is the same.
The past few days I’ve been burning out a little, I’ve turned into a faux-PA for my mum to help her admin work which is an extra mental load. Craving for the weekend so I can relax a bit.
I’ve been looking into my finances, and did a bit of research into stocks and shares ISA accounts. They seem very good, and offer much better returns than regular savings accounts given that the interest rates are dire at the moment.
I need to get out of the house at some point. Over the weekend I was shovelling gravel to repair a load of potholes on our unadopted road (thanks FDC) which made my back very sore. I’ve fully recovered and should use this as a mental beating stick to force me outside tomorrow for a run.
In other news my shoulder recovery is going surprisingly well.
To use an analogy, to me this stage of the lockdown feels like “the wall” you hit when doing a long run. It’s the hardest stage to complete, but once you’re through, it’s plain sailing. Crossing my fingers for a quick return to warmer weather, I’d even be happy with >5° so at least there’d be no ice out!
