Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
Researched the question “Will Moore’s law hold true in the future?”. Summarised my findings in an essay and delivered a presentation of the work undertaken to approximately 200 students.
It required research skills, effective planning, and time management. An insight was gained into the challenges faced with shrinking transistor sizes, and the various solutions that address these challenges.

Prefect and College Captain
Fulfilled the roles Prefect and College Captain for the Technology College during Year 12 and Year 13 respectively.
This required acting as a role model for younger students, speaking in front of the colleges in assemblies, running student council meetings, and fundraising £400 for various charities.
Our fundraising included bake sales for the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice, and the 300 Challenge for Sports Relief. The 300 Challenge was a competition across the entire school where teams would run, row, and cycle the furthest distance they could within 300 minutes.

- 18 months of volunteering

Head Boy
Participated in student council meetings and created the “Have Your Say” program during my year as Head Boy of the King house.
“Have Your Say” was a weekly drop-in event where students and staff could voice their opinions and suggestions. This information would then be brought forward to council meetings.
